SHARE THE JOY AND COURAGE WITH ORPHANS AND ‘LEFT-BEHIND’ CHILDREN IN GRUIZHOU
On June 15th, 2019, through the partnership with a Chinese charity organization "Forest Angel", Meg-Star Group completed a seven-day charity visit to care for orphans and 'left-behind' children in the mountainous area of Congjiang in Guizhou, China. Volunteers actively interacted and shared the joy with the children.
On June 9th, all volunteers arrived at Congjiang to conduct a full-team meeting and inventory check. From the next day, the team visited two schools in Donglang Town, which is the most remote village in Congjiang, and visited single-parent and orphan families. Volunteers donated stationery, books, toys and handkerchiefs to children, and celebrated birthdays for them.
Volunteers visited the Congjiang Education Bureau on June 13th, and the two sides conducted in-depth communication on how to further develop the education plan for the region. The leaders of the bureau expressed their support for the plan and agreed that the volunteers' past series of public welfare assistance activities would bring a positive impact on local education.
Meg-Star Group believes the best way to help change a child's life is to transform their community, and child sponsorship will be one of the vital means. Meg-Star Group will sponsor orphans and the most marginalized and vulnerable children in the mountainous areas of Congjiang, not only to create lasting help and improve their living environment, and also to build a healthier and more positive outlook on life.
